Medical Massage for the Lower Torso - Abdominal Wall & S/I Joint
8 CE Credit Hours
This is a very special course to help you better serve people with low back (lumbar and sacro-iliac) pain. This information has never been presented in Florida before. We will examine and treat many specific structures in the lumbar, abdominal, and sacral area while keeping our focus on the body as an integrated, interconnected whole. In addition to the mechanical aspects of the lumbar-sacral region we will also look at the energetic systems and mind-body connections to provide a wholistic approach to relieving pain complaints in this area.

2008 Massage Therapy Hall of Fame Inductee
He was the first to adapt specific massage and stretching techniques to the massage chair in his groundbreaking videos (Seated Therapeutic Massage) and textbook Therapeutic Chair Massage, published by LWW. He has produced 16 video/DVD training programs, writes a bi-monthly column for Massage Today Magazine, has contributed to 3 other textbooks, and has written many articles for magazines and journals.
In 1997 he was awarded the AMTA National Meritorious Award for his leadership, dedication and commitment to the profession.
“It is not my intent to impress you with what I can do. Instead, I seek to openly share the techniques, knowledge, and experience I have gained over the last 22 years with you so that together we can help more people.” Ralph R. Stephens
