Traditional Thai Massage on the Table
6 CE Credit Hours
What you will need: Massage Table, Top Sheet, fitted sheet and lubricant of choice.
Traditional Thai Massage has been practiced for more than 2,500 years and is still used as a form of medical massage to treat numerous diseases.
Many of the techniques used in the ancient healing art of Traditional Thai Massage are applicable to the massage table. This style is widely performed by Thai Massage Therapists in Thailand hotels utilizing a quest bed rather than the traditional mat on the floor.
For those of us in the west, Table Top Thai enables clients and therapists who cannot work on the floor an alternative that does not sacrifice any of the numerous healing benefits.
So with the overwhelming popularity of her Swe-Thai Massage course the demand came for more Traditional Thai techniques on the table. In response Margie Meshew developed a comprehensive Table Top Thai routine which includes not only supine, prone, and side lying positions, it also features the highly effective and specific nine point treatment of the abdominals.
