Christian D. Thompson has been instructing in the medical field since 1989. He has both nursing and massage educational backgrounds. He's developed and implemented curriculum for Medical Massage, Medical Cupping and New Stone.

Christian has been exclusively training medical massage therapist since 1998. In addition he has consulted and assisted therapists in opening numerous medical massage clinics to include development, start up operations, policies and procedures and marketing.

He is published and has appeared on several talk shows around the region. He is passionate about teaching, medical massage and medical cupping. It is his goal to insure that our next generation of therapists learns both heart and advanced education to ensure a growing profession.

Christian is well known for introducing therapists to new and innovative concepts such as risk management, quality assurance, advanced medical massage, medical cupping, and advanced medical documentation.

His focus is on "Raising the Standard" for massage therapy continuing education.

He is loved by his long term staff and enjoys massage, ministry, and looks forward to the day Professional Medical Massage Practitioners becomes its on profession.

You will learn exciting insights from a Nurse Massage Therapist who has been successfully billing insurance since 1998 in a Medical Massage Clinic. We will provide you with an overview of what is needed to become an Advanced Medical Massage Practitioner- Certified TM and why it is important to become the "expert" before promoting and building your medical practice.

Medical Massage- Emerging New Profession session includes the following course objectives:

1. Participants will be presented with a comprehensive overview of Medical Massage Therapy.
2. Participants will understand and verbalize a functional working definition of Medical Massage Therapy.
3. Participants will understand and communicate knowledge of the differences between Medical and Professional Practice Clinics.
4. Participants will understand the rationale behind the critical need for Certification of Medical Massage Practitioners by a nationally recognized Certifying Body that will stand behind and support its certificate holders.
5. Participants will understand and verbalize the importance of affiliation with other advanced medical massage practitioners who share common enthusiasm and clinical knowledge.
6. Participants will discuss the overview of the Medical Community and how to enter, work and be embraced within that community successfully.
