Anatomy of an Injury ~ Assessment, Treatment & Muscle Activation (ATM) Technique™
3 CE Contact Hours

The ATM Technique™ was expertly designed to help therapists hone their skills in assessment, multiple treatment modalities and ~ the missing finish piece ~ muscle activation.

Using the ATM Technique™ takes the guesswork out of assessing sports related injuries. Join ATM™ developer Debbie Roberts and learn how to break down the anatomy of an injury...

During this workshop you'll discover how sports injuries occur, whether resulting from golf, tennis, running, baseball, soccer, volleyball, or even everyday exercise. You'll also learn to assess injuries using a simple kinetic chain movement screen that can be used in any standard treatment room.

Proper assessment will help your clients understand your level of education and commitment to their health and wellbeing. From the assessment plan, your time management and treatment will become more efficient and effective, benefiting both you and your client.

You'll also be trained in treatment modalities that release fascia, elongate the muscles, plus add stability. You'll learn to finish each session by using muscle activation and easy treatment to jump-start the muscles, leaving your client immediately more stable, increasing their function, and getting them back in the game faster.

The ATM Technique™ will boost your business by attracting a targeted sports clientele to your practice. Incorporating this innovative technique into your business will allow you to become a leader in sports injury treatment, attracting youth and amateur athletes as well as those at the pro level.

In this workshop you'll discover:
  • . How to assess for a mobility/stability problem.
  • How any injury occurs.
  • How to evaluate for the most common shoulder, hip, low back and ankle injuries.
  • How to apply the kinetic chain assessment process.
  • Which treatment plans are the best to use for a specific injury.
  • How to use muscle activation to jump-start healing and return function.

  • Supplies Needed by Students: Pen/paper for note taking
