Laurie Messina

Laurie Messina has over thirty-five years of experience in nutrition, medical herbs, and bodywork. Earlier in her career Laurie had the pleasure of studying with Dr. John Christopher, Dr. Bernard Jensen, Dr. Leon Chaitow and Pierre Pannetiere. Laurie Messina had unique practices in both Sarasota, Florida and Mount Dora, Florida for twenty years. In these practices Laurie would combine various techniques to assist an individual's body into balance. Her studies in bodywork have led her to incorporate Polarity, Craniosacral, Neuromuscular, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and Ayurvedic Therapies in her work.

In 1998, Laurie's passion for education inspired her to create a charter school for kids in Sarasota, Florida and the school is still running to this day.

In 2005, while challenged with Lyme Disease, Laurie created and developed Himalayan Salt Stone Massageā„¢. She incorporated all the techniques that she has learned throughout her career into this massage. Laurie lectures and teaches this technique throughout the entire country.

The Salt Wrap
4 CE Contact Hours

In this heavenly treatment the body is stroked with a Himalayan salt stone then a luscious layer of nut and seed oils, Himalayan salt, and lavender oil is applied to the skin. The client is wrapped for 30 minutes while the salt hydrates the skin, digestively exfoliates the skin, balances skin pH, mildly detoxifies the body, sedates the central nervous system, and balances the meridians of the whole body.

Supplies needed: None.

PLEASE DO NOT WEAR PERFUME, COLOGNE OR ESSENTIAL OILS TO CLASS.
