CHAMP ALLEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP



Laura Allen will honor Champ Allen by annually giving away the Champ Allen Memorial Scholarship, beginning at the 2019 World Massage Festival. This $500 scholarship is to be used for continuing education and related travel expenses in the area of massage for medically frail populations, such as oncology massage, hospice massage, or massage in clinical settings such as a hospital or nursing home. You must be present at the Festival to win.

JOHN MAHONEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP



The World Massage Festival and Massage Therapy Hall of Fame announces the John Mahoney Memorial Scholarship. The winner will be randomly selected from those registered for this year's Festival at 12:30 pm on May 8, 2019. MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.

In honor of John and his committment to the massage profession and the WMF, we are awarding a FREE registration for the 2019 Festival.

There are no special requirements for the winner. It is our wish, and one that we believe John would share, that this scholarship will help a therapist to further their education. It is our hope that the winner of the John Mahoney Scholarship will joyfully attend the 2018 Festival and celebrate John's life.



BONNIE PRUDDEN MEMORIAL AWARD

Bonnie Prudden, fitness pioneer and founder of Bonnie Prudden Myotherapy®, passed away at her home in Tucson on December 11, 2011. She was 97. "You can't turn back the clock, but you can wind it up again," she told her students and patients, and that is how she lived her life.

Bonnie was the first person inducted into the Massage Therapy Hall of Fame. In her honor, each year we will pick one name from all the therapists registered and attending the World Massage Festival. That person will will receive a Freedom Package and never again pay a registration fee to attend the Festival. Drawing is at 12:30 PM on May 7, 2019 in the vending hall. MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.

She honored us by attending the very first Festival in 2006 and giving the keynote speech. In celebration of her life, we give this scholarship.
