It is time for Massage Therapists and Professional Bodywork Artists to feel good about what they do and have a platform from which to showcase their talents… now they can, in the form of the World Massage Festival, to be held annually at sites to be determined.
The 2007 Festival will take place Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the Hadji Shriner's Temple in Pensacola, Florida. The idea was developed a couple of years ago when Florida Governor Jeb Bush asked for the promotion of massage in the state. Mike Hinkle, owner of Pensacola Massage Center and Curator for the Festival dreamed up the idea and set the mission statement into action.
WHERE IS IT?
Hadji Shrine Temple, 800 W. Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, Florida
The location has classroom space, vendor space and a stage to honor the new inductees.
WHEN IS IT & HOW MUCH IS IT?
The Hall of Fame has been created to honor those having furthered the profession of massage therapy.
WILL THERE BE CONTINUING EDUCATION WORKSHOPS OFFERED DURING THE FESTIVAL?
YES, workshops are available to earn CE Contact Hours... Details.
DO I HAVE TO BE A THERAPIST TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOPS?
Yes. Members of the public may attend any of the free classes, visit the vendor areas and attend the opening/closing ceremonies but they can not attend the paid workshops.
