Welcome To The 1st Annual World Massage Festival Pictorial Report
By Founder, Mike Hinkle

Bonnie Prudden gives advice to Trisha Brennan at Hall of Fame Reception.

Arizona's Bonnie Prudden becomes the first person inducted into the Massage Therapy Hall of Fame.

Sister Rosalind Gefre, from Minnesota, was the hit of the Festival. Everybody got hugs!

Nerita and Lana came from Hawaii to accept for their mother "Aunty" Margaret Machado, kahuna of Lomilomi.

George Kousaleos beamed as he graciously accepted his induction into the Hall.

Ashiatsu's, Ruthie Hardee was represented by Pensacola's own Lydia Medley.

Marsha Lynn Fortner from the Trager Institute joined us and accepted for Milton Trager.

A record crowd listened intently as the Hall of Fame presentations were made.

Jennifer Lambert is "showcased" at the first World Massage Festival.

With sister Lana filming, Nerita shows Cheryl Reade Lomi Lomi, directly from the Hawaiian Islands. Aunty also sent one of her lei's from her private collection for inclusion in the Festival. We sure wish she could have attended, but she was represented well.

AMTA's Marilyn Gibbs enjoys a lighter moment at the festival using the body bridge.

Lydia shows Ashiatsu to newcomers. She explained weight differences and which strokes should be used for each. She convinced a lot of therapists to pursue the modality and explained it in detail.

Wanda "Nell", from Texas, enjoys some of the instruments used in massage to relax clients.

Reiki was a big hit at the festival.

Energy work is alive and well in Florida!

Chocolate and Mega Mangosteen were some of the goodies brought in for the general public.

Candles burned and then used for massage, tables and scents were abundant.

Vicky, from Texas, was one of the thirty plus recipients of "Tanner", the official 2006 Teddy Bear for St. Jude's Hospital. (Thanks Darcy!).

Massage Magazine receives "Kudos" for sponsoring the first World Massage Festival Hall of Fame.

Sister Rosalind had fun and so did all those who were lucky enough to meet her.

22 year AMTA member, John Malinowski demonstrates the finer points of "Touch For Health" technique. And will present at the 2007 Festival as well!

A 5000 year massage history timeline was enjoyed by all. 12 people will be added to each year's timeline.
